อาการแพ้
อาการแพ้สามารถเกิ ดขึ้นได้ตั้งแต่ภูมิ แพ้ไปจนถึงเกิ ดการช็อกเนื่ องจาก
อาการแพ้ พบว่าบ่อยครั้งนมผึ้งเกี่ยวข้องกับอาการหลอดลมหดตัวอย่าง

Herbal medicines have become popular froma therapy,
they are often perceived as a being natural and therefore
harmless. However, there are several adverse effect of
herbal remedies, examples of allergic reaction, toxic reactions,
adverse effects relate to an herb’s desired pharmaceutical
actions, ,a possible mutagenic effects, drug interactions, drug
contamination, and mistaken plant identities are provided;
Allergic reaction
Reactions can vary froma transient dermatitis to anaphylactic
shock. Royal jelly has been repeatedly linked with severe
bronchospasm. Alleged aphrodisiac, yohimbine has been
associated with an allergic reaction culminating in a lupus-
like syndrome. Other allergic potent herbs are camphor and
mixture of lavender, jasmine and rosewood in aromatherapy.
Toxic reactions
Many medicinal plants contain flavonoids. This family of
compounds has been associated with several adverse reactions
such as hemolytic anemia, chronic diarrhea, severe nephropathy
and colitis.
Mutagenic effects
Anthranoid laxatives in plants such as aloe vera, cascara,
frangula and rhubarb are considered as safe. However, the
long term use (10-30 years) of these drugs may be a risk factor
for colorectal cancer. In recent years, an increasing number
of people have been using complementary and alternative
medicines. The herbal therapies appear most promising, thus
encouraging the necessary toxicity studies to be performed
on these therapies.
